ALL UCSD UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

SUBJECT:    UC San Diego Traditions

What do traditions mean to you? Since its inception, our campus and our students have spawned many memorable traditions at the colleges and campus-wide. Revelle College Watermelon Drop, Marshall Cultural Celebration, AS Pancake Breakfast, UnOlympics, and the Triton Junkyard Derby are just a few examples of longstanding and new traditions at UCSD.

The Steering Committee of the Undergraduate Experience and Satisfaction Survey is exploring traditions, looking more closely at the traditions that exist and new traditions that can be created at UCSD. The most important feedback we need to hear is from students, the originators and creators of campus traditions. In less than five minutes you can complete a short survey on your favorite UCSD traditions by visiting http://ucsdnews.ucsd.edu/traditions/. Students who complete the survey have an opportunity to win UCSD wear and memorabilia from the UCSD Bookstore.

Your responses and those of UCSD alumni will be compiled and reviewed at a special student leader and USES Steering Committee retreat focusing on traditions. To get you thinking in this context, I encourage you to visit the UCSD and College Traditions page on TritonLink, http://traditions.ucsd.edu. I also welcome your feedback and suggestions on this Web site.
