Rental Car Agreements and UC Travel Program

New UC rental car agreements are available with Hertz, Enterprise, and National. These agreements provide special rates and coverage including liability insurance in the U.S. for all UC business travelers. The agreements are the first phase of a new UC-Systemwide travel program called Connexxus that leverages UC-wide travel dollars. Connexxus will offer value, flexibility, and convenience for UC business travelers by featuring favorable negotiated rates for air travel, hotel accommodations and car rentals.

A convenient and secure web-based Connexxus site will soon provide access to service options ranging from full agent assistance to online booking. The focus is on quality services and convenience, tailored to the needs of UC business travelers.

By spring, UCSD employees will have full access to Connexxus. In the meantime, follow instructions on Blink's Travel tab to use the new rental car rates.

Updates on Connexxus will appear on Blink's Travel tab over the next few months. A special session at Sharecase 2008 on March 26 will officially introduce Connexxus to UCSD. Your comments and questions are welcomed and may be directed to travel@ucsd.edu.
