UCSD is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) to ensure that our academic standards are being upheld and that appropriate institutional resources are being provided to meet our goals of effective education. On January 3, 2008, UC San Diego submitted a Capacity and Preparatory Review Report to WASC for its consideration in the second phase of our reaffirmation of accreditation process.
The report and accompanying appendix materials have been posted to the campus accreditation website:
You are invited to review the report and, if you wish, to provide comments. You may send these to accreditation@ucsd.edu.
The next step in the process is a site visit by a designated WASC review team, which is to occur on March 12-14, 2008. Details of the Capacity and Preparatory Review site visit are forthcoming and explain how members of the UC San Diego community can participate.
