Shared Research Facilities Database

The Office of Research Affairs is pleased to announce the release of a Shared Research Facilities & Equipment website at http://research.ucsd.edu/sharedfacilities. This site provides the UCSD community with a searchable inventory of research facilities, equipment and research support services available at UCSD.

The site currently contains detailed information on more than 70 separate research facilities, their associated equipment and support services. The site also allows users to search nearly 40,000 pieces of equipment from the campus equipment inventory system.

A potential benefit of this new site is the ability for researchers to identify existing research resources at UCSD. Prior to purchasing new equipment or services, researchers are encouraged to check this site to see if the equipment or service is already available on campus.

UCSD researchers and/or facility managers wishing to share equipment and services with the campus community are encouraged to visit the website and post their items.
