PROPOSED REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONDUCT OF NON-AFFILIATES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA IN OR ON UNIVERSITY BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS Pursuant to Section 92440.5 of the California Education Code, the University of California intends to propose that the University's Board of Regents adopt regulations governing the conduct in or on University buildings and grounds of persons who are not students, officers, or employees of the University ("non affiliates"). Violation of regulations adopted pursuant to section 92440.5 constitutes a misdemeanor. A copy of the proposed regulations are posted at http://www.ucop.edu/regs/naffil/ Copies may also be obtained by request (accompanied by a postal or e-mail return address) submitted to the address, e-mail address, or telephone number listed below. The University has not previously adopted regulations under section 92440.5, and the proposed regulations do not amend, supersede or repeal existing University regulations. On May 28, 2008, at 12:30 p.m., a public hearing will be held at James E. West Alumni Center, UCLA campus, Los Angeles, CA 90095 - Main Conference Room, at which members of the public will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed regulations. In addition, members of the public may submit comments on the proposed regulations orally or in writing at any time prior to the May 28, 2008 public hearing.
