SUBJECT:	CONSTRUCTION ALERT UPDATE - Housing & Dining Services
	Administration Building

Project Description/Location:

Preparation for construction of The Housing and Dining Services Administration Building will begin on July 31, 2008. The four-story, 43,000 square foot building will be located in what is now Parking Lot P116 just west of and adjacent to the Revelle Commons loading dock. The associated site work includes utility extensions along Scholars Drive South, site landscaping and modifications to the present Revelle loading dock area.

Immediate Street Impacts:

Continuing until July of 2009, vehicular traffic around the site and on adjacent streets will be impacted at times to accommodate construction activities and utility installations. There will be occasions when Scholars Drive South will be reduced to one lane of traffic. During these times, flagmen will be present to direct traffic. Detour signs for vehicles and pedestrian traffic will also be posted.
