CONSTRUCTION ALERT UPDATE - North Campus Housing Phase 1

Project Description/Location

The North Campus Housing project includes the construction of eight buildings, totaling over 370,000 gross sq. ft. In addition to student living units, the project includes administration offices, a satellite bookstore, conference facilities, a small café, laundry, mailroom and other ancillary type spaces. The project is located in the North Campus area and will encompass the existing parking lots P-355 and P-356.

Immediate Street Impacts

Continuing until August 2009, vehicular traffic around the site and on adjacent streets will be impacted at times to accommodate construction activities and utility installations. There will be occasions when Scholars Drive North and portions of North Point Drive will have only one traffic lane open. Flagmen will direct traffic during those times of limited accessibility. Pedestrian sidewalks adjacent to the project site will not be impacted. Additional alerts will be issued throughout the construction period as needed.
