SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Lot P703 Temporary Closure

Project Description/Location

This annex to the existing clinic in the Cancer Center will add approximately 16,000 overall gsf of treatment and clinical space and will include two state-of-the-art linear accelerators and a PET/CT. The building will be fabricated in modules in a factory and shipped to the site where a large crane will be used to assemble the building. The $4.3 million project will open in early 2009.

Immediate Street Impacts

Starting September 4, 2008 and continuing through January 3, 2009, the southern portion of Lot P703 will be closed. The stairway leading to the lot in the southwest corner will also be closed during this time. Portions of Voigt Drive and Health Sciences Drive may be partially affected during the construction period. Approximately 140 parking spaces will be permanently eliminated. Additional alerts will be issued throughout the construction period to update the campus as needed.
