ALL ACADEMICS AT UCSD

SUBJECT:    Project Scientist Salary Scales

Effective October 1, 2008, UCSD will transition to the UC system-wide salary scale for Project Scientists in disciplines other than business, economics, and engineering (B/E/E). All new Project Scientist appointments effective on or after October 1, 2008, will be made according to the UC system-wide salary scales. Project Scientists in disciplines other than business, economics, and engineering who were employed at UCSD prior to October 1, 2008, will remain on the UCSD Project Scientist salary scale for the duration of their careers as Project Scientists at UCSD. The UCSD Project Scientist salary scale will be modified for future cost-of-living adjustments that are applied to the UC salary scales.

Project Scientists in business, economics, and engineering were transitioned to the UC system-wide B/E/E salary scale in 2004.
