Reappointment of Brian Schottlaender as University Librarian

I am pleased to announce that, subsequent to a very successful five-year review, Chancellor Fox and I have reappointed Brian Schottlaender as University Librarian. During the past five years, University Librarian Schottlaender has made major contributions to strengthening the quality of the University Libraries’ collections. In addition to his leadership at UCSD, UL Schottlaender has expanded the UCSD Libraries’ influence into the UC system, at the national level, and internationally.

We are enormously pleased that the University Libraries and the University will continue to benefit from University Librarian Schottlaender’s outstanding leadership. Chancellor Fox and I very much appreciate the review committee members’ thorough work, as well as their insightful suggestions as the Libraries move forward.
