Increase in Sales and Use Tax Rate

The State Board of Equalization has announced that effective April 1, 2009, the California Sales and Use Tax rate will increase by 1 percent to 8.25%. The increase in the state rate will result in a combined rate, including county and district taxes of 8.75% for San Diego.
