SUBJECT:	Chancellor’s Town Hall meeting at UCSD Medical Center,
	Hillcrest and La Jolla

Please join me for a Town Hall meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009 in the UCSD Medical Center Auditorium at Hillcrest. This is an opportunity for us to communicate directly, share concerns, discuss ideas and ask questions about the current fiscal and budgetary challenges UC is facing, and the impact on UC San Diego including the Medical Center.

A simulcast of the meeting will be held in the SDG&E room on the 3rd floor at Thornton Hospital. Additionally, a video of the discussion will be available on my web site, http://www-chancellor.ucsd.edu on Monday, March 30. In order to give employees some flexibility in their schedule to attend, one (1) hour of administrative leave with pay has been approved, as long as the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties and patient care. Managers and supervisors are asked to allow employees to attend.
