Dear Colleagues:
Our fifth meeting of the 2008-09 academic year is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 3:30 p.m., in the Center for Molecular Genetics Conference Room. The Notice of Meeting (agenda) and all pertinent documents may be found on the Senate's Web page at:

This month we will have the great pleasure of acting on nominations for the 2008-09 Distinguished Teaching Awards and on nominations for the upcoming election of Committee on Committees' members.
SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS: We can look to a presentation from the Committee on Educational Policy regarding proposed changes to the add and drop deadlines. We also look forward to an update on the UC negotiations with the United Auto Workers regarding postdoctoral scholars. The Assembly will receive an update on the status of the campus's re-accreditation efforts with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
