CONSTRUCTION ALERT - North Campus Housing Phase 2

Project Description/Location:

The North Campus Housing Phase 2 has been anticipated under the UCSD Master Plan and the North Campus Neighborhood Planning Study and will consist of 807 - 4, 5 & 6-bedroom student apartments as well as support areas. The North Campus Housing Phase 2 project includes the construction of seven buildings totaling over 266,000 gross square feet. In addition to student living units, the project includes administrative offices, conference facilities, a small bistro/café, market, laundry and other ancillary type spaces. The project is located in the North Campus neighborhood and will encompass the existing parking lot P-357.

Immediate Street Impacts:

Continuing until June 2011 vehicular traffic around the site and on adjacent street will be impacted at times to accommodate construction activities and utility installations. There will be occasions when Scholars Drive North and portions of North Point Drive will have only one traffic lane open. Flagmen will direct traffic during those times of limited accessibility. Pedestrian sidewalks adjacent to the project site will not be impacted. Additional alerts will be issued throughout the construction period as needed.
