SUBJECT:    Relocation of the Office of International Affairs (OIA)

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) has relocated to 104 University Center, in the Chancellor's Complex directly south of Price Center West. International Affairs' new mail code is 0001, and the new fax number is 858-822-0072. The main telephone number, 858-822-1828, is unchanged.

OIA serves as a central resource in campus efforts to build bridges between UC San Diego and the rest of the world, providing guidance to campus units in establishing collaborations and allegiances with foreign universities, and serving as a resource to international partners. OIA provides the following services to the campus:

*Advise administrative leadership on the allocation of campus resources to support international undertakings.

*Work with administrative leadership on reinventing processes to make them more effective and efficient when tackling the global mission.

*Provide counsel on the international agreement development and review processes.

*Provide recommendations on requests from prospective international visitors to our campus.

A new website (http://ia.ucsd.edu/index.asp) includes resources on the international agreement development process, an interactive database of UC San Diego's international agreements, and a campus-wide international events calendar.
