SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT UPDATE - RIMAC Annex & Women's
Softball Field Improvements

Project Description/Location

The RIMAC Annex & Women's Softball Field Improvements project includes the construction of a multipurpose facility immediately north of the present RIMAC building with associated sitework, landscaping and new bleachers. Approximately 14,000 gross square feet in size, the building will include lounges, conference rooms, coffee bar and café and outdoor seating. The work also includes sports improvements, associated structures and sitework including, but not limited to a new softball field, repositioning of the existing backstop, new dugouts, and associated services.

Immediate Impacts

Beginning on Monday, June 29, 2009 and continuing on Tuesday, June 30, 2009; the contractor on the RIMAC Annex project will be sandblasting the pavement on Ridge Walk in front of the new building. During this time Ridge Walk will be closed off to all pedestrians, bicycles, etc. Alternate routes include Scholars Drive north and Hopkins Drive past RIMAC.
