CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Revelle College Apartments

Project Description/Location:

Preparation for construction of the Revelle College Apartments will begin on September 1, 2009. The approximately 158,000 square foot project consists of three buildings, 5-10 stories. They will be located on what is now the open lawn area, basketball courts, and part of Parking Lot P104, just west of Fleet Housing and just south of the Housing & Dining Services Administration Building which is currently under construction. The site work will include utility extensions along Scholars Drive South, as well as landscaping and modifications to parking lots P103 and P104.

Immediate Street Impacts for Demolition and Construction Work:

Commencing on September 1, 2009 and continuing until July 2011, vehicular traffic on adjacent streets around the site, and the westerly portion of parking lots P103 and P104 will be impacted at times to accommodate construction activities and utility installations. There will be occasions when Scholars Drive South will be restricted to one lane of traffic, and ingress and egress for parking lots P103 and P104 controlled. During these times flagmen will be directing traffic. Detour signs for vehicles and pedestrian traffic will also be posted.
