SUBJECT:	Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
	Coordinator for the UC San Diego campus

I would like to inform the campus community that as of February 1, 2010, our new FERPA Coordinator for the UC San Diego campus will be University Registrar, William R. Haid. Given the critical role of the FERPA Coordinator it was imperative to identify someone who has expert knowledge in this critical policy area.

Bill has served as University Registrar and Director of Enrollment Services at the University of Colorado, Boulder and Colorado State University. He also served as the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment and Access at Colorado State University, and as Executive Director of Enrollment and Student Success for the Global Campus at Colorado State University. Bill brings a wealth of knowledge and more than thirty years of experience working with FERPA - related issues. Bill has been University Registrar at UCSD since January 2009.
