SUBJECT:    Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award
Nominations

The purpose of this notice is to announce the 2010 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Awards Program. This program has been designed to recognize faculty, staff, students, departments or organizational units and other members of the UC San Diego community who have made an outstanding contribution in the areas of equal opportunity, affirmative action or diversity at UC San Diego during the past year.

Therefore, all members of the campus and healthcare community are invited and encouraged to nominate UC San Diego community members who are deserving and meet certain criteria.

A review panel of representatives chosen by the Chancellor and vice chancellors will evaluate all eligible nominations and recommend recipients to Chancellor Marye Anne Fox. Accordingly, the recipients will be recognized and awards will be presented by the Chancellor to each recipient during the annual ceremony to be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Price Center West Ballroom.
