SUBJECT: Statement of Safe Environment on Campus

Dear Colleagues:

As Academic Senate Chair, I want to express my disgust at the reprehensible incident that occurred in the Geisel Library late Thursday evening. We all must insist on a safe environment for students, staff, and faculty at UC San Diego. I ask that you make all reasonable accommodations for the students who are affected over this and other recent incidents.
