SUBJECT:    New Campus Asset Management System

We are pleased to announce the introduction of our new Campus Asset Management System (CAMS). CAMS will be available to campus users beginning Monday March 8, 2010.

The new asset management system replaces EAMS which has been used by the campus since the early 90's and is no longer capable of fulfilling key asset management requirements for U.C. San Diego. EAMS went offline for users after Friday February 26, 2010 to allow migration of data to CAMS. Key features of CAMS include:

* Asset Records - Customizable asset record detail forms
* History - Complete history tracking and audit trails
* Reports - Standard asset, GASB, ad hoc and user-defined reporting
* Transfers - Automated transfer management with email notification and approvals
* Option to track non-inventorial assets
* Ability to include detailed asset descriptions and images
* Full and paperless integration with Surplus Sales

Orientation training for CAMS is currently available and you may sign up via Enrollment Central.
