Call for Nominations for Chancellor's Medal

As part of UC San Diego’s 50th anniversary celebration, we will award the Chancellor’s Medals at our Founders’ Day event on November 18, 2010. I encourage your nomination of visionaries whose impact on UC San Diego has resulted in the institution’s rise to prominence.

The Chancellor's Medal is one of the highest honors given by UC San Diego for exceptional service in support of the university’s mission. It has only been awarded five times since the medal was conceived in 2000. The medal will be awarded each year on Founders' Day.

Nominees must have a connection with the University; however, current employees are not eligible for the medal. Nominators must have an association with UC San Diego. Further guidelines and the nomination form can be found at http://www.50th.ucsd.edu/. The deadline for nominations is May 1, 2010. Nominations received after May 1 will be considered for the following year.
