SUBJECT:    San Diego Science Festival, Petco Park, Saturday, 3/27:
Volunteers Needed

The second San Diego Science Festival's EXPO DAY will be held at PETCO PARK this Saturday and is one of many important UC San Diego outreach efforts to expose San Diego area students, parents and families to the possibilities of a research or engineering education and career. We need volunteers to help. If you are able to come, be sure to bring your kids, families, and friends for a free day of FUN with Science and Technology! 150 interactive, hands-on science/technology exhibitions by private industry, higher education, K-12 schools, and community groups! 20 stage shows about science. Co-sponsored by the Padres, City of San Diego, Life Technologies, Qualcomm, NSF, KPBS, Cox, Gen-Probe, Celgene, Vertex, Illumina, Agilent Technologies, NuVasive, Raytheon, Think Blue San Diego, San Diego News Network, Biogen Idec, ScienceBridge, and many, many more!

50,000 people came to Balboa Park for the inaugural Festival event in 2009 to celebrate science and get kids motivated to enter science and technology educations and careers!

Volunteers should contact Allyson Rynne, acrynne@gmail.com.
