SUBJECT:	CONSTRUCTION ALERT Update - UCSD Telemedicine and
	PRIME-HEq Education Facility

Project Description/Location

The Telemedicine & PRIME-HEq Education Facility currently under construction in the School of Medicine will provide approximately 98,000 gross square feet of space for the Telemedicine Training Center, Telemedicine Consultation Center, Clinical Skills Training and Medical Simulation Center, Student PRIME Services, and Administration Center, as well as a small Café and Auditorium. The building consists of three stories with a basement below. Major utilities will be installed in Osler Lane in preparation for this construction project.

Immediate Street Impacts

Beginning mid-June and continuing through mid-September 2010, vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Osler Lane will be impacted to accommodate utility installation. During this period portions of Osler Lane will be CLOSED to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. In addition, portions of Parking Lot P603 will also be impacted. Detours and signage will be provided directing both vehicles and pedestrians around those areas. Flagmen will also be present to direct traffic when necessary. Pedestrian walkways adjacent to Osler Lane will be closed throughout the duration of the utility installation, however, signage illustrating alternate paths of pedestrian travel will be provided. Updates will continue to be provided throughout the construction period.
