SUBJECT:	CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Area South of Music Building and
	closure of Parking Lot P410 (Building 965 - Old Credit Union)

Project Location/Impact

The electric service for Superloop Transit Project is under construction. As part of this project the contractor will be installing underground electric service to a service pedestal near the intersection of Gilman Drive and Russell Lane. Construction of an underground trench will impact existing parking lot P410 (Building 965 - old Credit Union) during the dates of July 26 and July 28, 2010. The new electric service will provide power for the new Superloop traffic signals (to be provided by SANDAG) at the intersection of Gilman Drive and Russell Lane.

Immediate Impacts

Between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, lot P410 will be closed to vehicular traffic during construction. Emergency vehicle access will be available and flagmen will direct pedestrian traffic as needed. Detour signs for vehicles and pedestrian traffic will also be posted. Parking spaces on the north and east side of the sixth college (Building 965 - old Credit Union) will be unavailable during construction.
