UAW Contract with Postdoctoral Scholars

Late last week, University of California and United Auto Workers (UAW) negotiators reached a tentative agreement that the union will now take to postdoctoral scholars for ratification. If ratified, the contract would represent the first stand-alone postdoctoral scholar contract in the country, covering approximately 10 percent of all postdoctoral scholars in the nation.

The university is pleased that there is an agreement that reflects the importance of postdoctoral scholars to UC and its research enterprise.
