SUBJECT: New Enrollment System for Employee Training

The current UCSD system for enrolling in employee training, Enrollment Central, is being replaced by the UC-wide enrollment system: UC Learning Center. To transition to the new system, Enrollment Central will no longer be operational effective October 4, 2010. On October 7th, UC Learning Center will be online and an announcement will be distributed with instructions regarding system access and a description of new features.

All records in Enrollment Central for active employees have been migrated to the new system. UC Learning Center will also retain records for systemwide mandated training, e.g., ethics, general compliance, conflict of interest, and sexual harassment prevention.

Between the dates of October 4th and 6th, employees who need to enroll for training or obtain information about specific courses may call Staff Education and Development for assistance at (858) 534-4890. To reduce calls for assistance during the anticipated busy time between the 4th and 6th, employees should plan accordingly and print out any information needed from Enrollment Central prior to the 4th. Access to systemwide mandated training will not be affected.

UC Learning Center has many new features for administering training in a variety of formats and for viewing training history. Trainers who conduct campuswide training will be able to view their training schedules, rosters and evaluations. All users will be able to add information to their training histories for learning activities outside of the enrollment system and print certificates of completion for training attended through campus programs.
