Fall Quarter Comment Period for the UC San Diego Conduct Code

In May 2009, I established and charged a campus work group to review and revise the University's Student Conduct Code. The group was asked to develop a new Code with broad based support from students and administrators and a deliberate focus on student learning and development, while developing a clearly articulated process for the expedient resolution of conduct related incidents.

As part of this process, students and all members of the UC San Diego community are encouraged to submit feedback about the revised Code via the work group's comprehensive web site, http://revisedcode.ucsd.edu. Additionally, throughout the current fall quarter, the group will gather feedback from the broader UC San Diego student community through over a dozen scheduled consultations with student organizations before submitting a final Code draft recommendation for review by Legal Counsel and the Office of the President.

A draft of the revised Code, an updated presentation schedule, and other related materials are available on the web site. Please provide your feedback on the draft Code either via the web site or directly to the work group's chair as identified on the site.
