December 21, 2011
ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF (excluding UCSD Medical Center)
During the campus closure spanning December 24 through January 2, 2012, most campus buildings are locked. However, Campus Receiving/Distribution will be open December 27 to December 30 to deliver your priority and perishable packages. FedEx and UPS joins the campus in a solution that we anticipate supports your research and/or critical activities during the closure. If your package is addressed to be sent directly to an on-campus address be aware that both FedEx and UPS will be delivering only to those buildings that are open and accessible. Any package or flat that can't be delivered will be routed to UCSD Receiving/Distribution located at 7835 Trade Street Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92121. Recipients with a valid campus delivery address and UCSD email address will be sent an e-mail advising them that their package is at Receiving/Distribution. For all items that are labeled perishable, one attempt will be made to deliver the item. This may necessitate that the package be re-iced if undeliverable. For any priority (express) package, you have the following delivery choices: the same day, the next day, pick up the item at Receiving/Distribution, or wait until January 3, 2012 when all services revert to normal delivery. During the closure, please send your inquires to mss-receiving@ucsd.edu. FedEx will service the drop boxes at the following locations: - CNCB/GPL Loading Dock (previously called CMG) - Pacific Hall Drop Box UPS will service the drop box at the following location: - Moores UCSD Cancer Ctr, 3855 Health Sciences Drive, 2nd Floor next to room 2250 Additional information regarding the closure is located at: http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/bfsclosures
