2011 YWCA TWIN Award Nominations for Women Faculty

The Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (CSW) is seeking nominations for women in faculty positions for this year’s YWCA “Tribute to Women & Industry" (TWIN) Award.” Since 1981, CSW has alternated nominating UC San Diego faculty and staff women executives for the award.

The YWCA initiated this program to augment the efforts of companies in recognizing their female employees for outstanding achievement. The criteria for the nomination is that the honoree must:

* occupy a management, executive or professional position with responsibility for a major component of the organization.

* have made an outstanding achievement within our organization.

The Chancellor endorses and submits the final campus nomination in May to the YWCA. The campus nominee, along with other women throughout the San Diego area, will be honored at a benefit luncheon on June 21, 2011. Women may be recognized once in their careers. A complete list of previous UC San Diego TWIN Award recipients is included on the application website.
