ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UCSD (excluding UCSD Medical Center)
We are promoting September as campus preparedness month. Conditions continue to indicate a high level of wildfire risk this year and we face the ever-present danger of a major earthquake occurring in Southern California. In conjunction with Campus Preparedness Month, campus emergency planners will conduct a tabletop exercise to review emergency response and evacuation procedures. For information on campus emergency response and evacuation procedures go to: http://blink.ucsd.edu/safety/emergencies/preparedness/evacuation.html and http://www-bfs.ucsd.edu/emerg/ucsdemp.htm We also encourage all members of our campus community to enroll in the campus voicemail and text emergency notification system; Triton Alert. Go to http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/emergencyphonereg to enroll. Campus leaders will use this system to notify you in the event of an emergency affecting campus. Please feel free to contact our office regarding campus emergency preparedness efforts and to learn steps you can take to be better prepared for any emergency.
