ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO

SUBJECT:    Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD)

The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD), an Academic Affairs department, is responsible for the review of medical documentation and the determination of reasonable accommodations based on a disability. Authorization for Accommodation (AFA) letters are issued by the OSD and given to undergraduate, graduate, and Professional School students directly. Students who receive AFA letters are encouraged to present these letters to faculty as soon as they receive them. Accommodations are determined quarterly for each student on a course-by-course basis and should not be provided in the absence of an AFA letter.

Please contact the OSD directly at 858.534.4382 or osd@ucsd.edu if you have any questions or concerns. Additional information may be found on the OSD website: http://disabilities.ucsd.edu
