CONSTRUCTION ALERT - La Jolla Campus Utilities Infrastructure - Medical Center Switch Station Utility Installation near the East Campus Parking Structure

Project Description/Location

The La Jolla Campus Utilities Infrastructure - Medical Center Switch Station project will continue with construction on a utility manhole installation on the north side of Medical Center Drive (adjacent to the East Campus Parking Structure) starting on January 2, 2013 with a January 11, 2013 completion date. The utility manhole work will cross the sidewalk in front on the Parking Structure (East side) and pedestrian traffic will be detoured across the street for travel on the south side of Medical Center Drive. Work is scheduled from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm each day, with the area being secured after 3:00 pm.

Immediate Street Impacts

Medical Center Drive should not be impacted by this utility manhole installation, however, pedestrians walking to and from the Medical Center from lot P702, will need to follow the detour signage around the closed section of sidewalk.
