Appointment of Director – Financial Analysis

Following a nationwide search, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Darryl James as Director of Financial Analysis.

Over the past 20 years at UCSD, Darryl has held progressively more responsible positions, including 11 years in Financial Analysis, most recently as Interim Director. Darryl’s analytical, managerial, and leadership skills and experience make him exceptionally well suited to serve as Director, where his key responsibilities will include oversight of all processes associated with UCSD’s indirect cost rate negotiation with the US Department of Health & Human Services, acquisition of external financing for facilities, financial feasibility analyses of new building projects proposed to be funded from indirect cost recoveries, and chairmanship of the campus Recharge Rate Review Committee.
