UC Learning Center Upgrade and Limited Service Alert

From February 20 through February 29, 2012 the UC Learning Center systemwide training enrollment system will undergo a scheduled upgrade. It will be available for enrollments, completing eCourses, and viewing transcripts during this time. However you must complete any eCourses (sexual harassment prevention, conflict of interest, ethics, UCSD web tutorials, etc.) before February 29th, preferably in one sitting, since bookmarks will not work and progress will not be recorded for incomplete eCourses during this period. Only completion information will be recorded and will appear in transcripts on March 1st. Note: This does not apply to Skillsoft courses, since Skillsoft tracking is handled by the vendor.

User records cannot be changed during this time. Only users in the system as of February 19 will be able to use it until it goes live again on March 1st. Administrators will not be able to add new courses to the system during this period of limited service. If you are an instructor and you want to schedule new training offerings, please do so before February 20 or on or after March 1.

After the upgrade, the UC Learning Center will support Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 4.0, and Safari 4.0. Transcripts will be cleaner looking, sortable and easier to print. You will be able to see multiple completion records for activities you have taken more than once, and many powerful administrator features will be available behind the scenes.
