OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT VICE CHANCELLOR April 25, 2012
Cost sharing is a formal commitment to use university resources to achieve the objectives of a sponsored research project. These cost elements are required to be managed, reported and tracked to meet the compliance requirements of OMB Circular A-110. UC San Diego has been using a cost sharing system developed in 1996 to meet these requirements, and we are excited to announce that a new Cost Sharing system has been released. The new Cost Sharing system is the result of a campus-wide team effort to design a system that is more flexible and user friendly, while maintaining adequate controls and compliance standards. UCSD department staff also assisted in the development and testing of the system to ensure that it will effectively meet the campus needs.
The Cost Sharing 2.0 system can be accessed at: More information may be found at: http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/costshare Thank you to the entire project team: Marissa Yessis-Business Lead-OPAFS; Maria Cruz-OPAFS; Bill Sweetman-ACT; Hamed Foroozanfard-ACT; Alma Palazzo-SDSC; Minerva Nelson-SIO-IOD; Glenn Saunders-Pharmacology; Karen Andrews-Physics.
