UC Benefits Town Hall

A Benefits Town Hall to learn about the changes to the University's 2014 medical plan offerings and new medical plan options for faculty and staff will be held on October 15, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Price Center East Ballroom.

UC Executive Director of Benefits Programs and Strategy Michael Baptista will make a presentation on why changes are being made and provide information about the new medical plans being offered. There will be a question and answer period.

The 2014 menu of plans includes two new plans: UC Care, UC's own PPO plan that offers members access to UC doctors and hospitals; and Blue Shield Health Savings Plan, which features a UC funded health savings account. Health Net Blue and Gold, Kaiser Permanente, and Core (administered by Blue Shield) will still be available. You can view the menu of plans at:

Four plans - Anthem Blue Cross PPO and PLUS, Anthem Lumenos with HRA, and Health Net Full HMO - are being discontinued.

Benefits Open Enrollment begins at 8:00 a.m. on October 28, 2013 and runs until 5:00 p.m. on November 26, 2013. A Benefits Open Enrollment Fair will be held on October 30, 2013 with more details to be announced soon.
