KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF
As part of the campus-wide Winter Holiday Closure, all UC San Diego Library facilities (the Geisel Library, the Biomedical Library Building, the Scripps Archives & Library Annex, and the Trade Street Storage Annex) will be closed from Saturday, December 21, 2013, through Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Library facilities will reopen Thursday, January 2, 2014. The Library's Hours web pages, http://libraries.ucsd.edu/hours/index.html, have been updated to reflect library hours for both before and after the holiday closure. Many online resources, including databases, electronic journals, and electronic books, will remain accessible during the closure. Faculty, students, and staff can access library-licensed resources during the closure via the campus proxy server or VPN, http://libraries.ucsd.edu/services/computing/remote-access/. Instructors who plan to offer library-supported course reserves during Winter Quarter 2014 should submit their requests now to allow sufficient time for processing and posting in advance of the quarter. Use the online form, http://libraries.ucsd.edu/services/reserves-form.html, to submit requests. Requests are processed in the order received. NOTE: Requests submitted after December 20, 2013 may not be available for student use until after Winter quarter instruction has begun. More information about library services during the closure such as research assistance, book returns and renewals, and ILL, can be found at: http://libraries.ucsd.edu/about/winter2013.html. The UC San Diego Library wishes everyone a healthy and happy holiday season.
