MEMBERS OF THE ACADEMIC SENATE, SAN DIEGO DIVISION

SUBJECT:    UC DC - Academic Senate Faculty Positions Open Call for AY 2015-16

The University of California's Washington Center (UCDC) seeks to fill openings for UC Academic Senate Faculty to teach in its consolidated UCDC undergraduate programs for the AY 2015-16. The UCDC program provides opportunities for undergraduates from nine UC campuses to study and participate in public service, science policy and arts internships in Washington DC for a quarter or semester.

We will accept applications for the academic year or for one term. The usual academic year teaching load is three quarter and one semester seminars of 25 students or less. There are themed seminars in areas such as Congress, the Presidency, and environment. Research seminars link research and writing assignments to the students' internships. Faculty interested in residence for less than the academic year may apply by submitting a proposal to teach an elective. Their home departments will be compensated by funds to cover the lecturer salary for one full-time lecture course per term.

Anyone interested in the Academic Senate Faculty positions at UCDC for AY 2015-16 should email a letter of application, CV and course proposal to the Executive Director of the UC Washington Center, Melanie DuPuis, at melanie.dupuis@ucdc.edu. Positions will be open until filled.
