ACADEMIC SENATE: SAN DIEGO DIVISION

March 21, 2013

MEMBERS OF THE ACADEMIC SENATE, SAN DIEGO DIVISION

SUBJECT:   Notice of Senate Election - Voting Open

Dear Colleagues:

Voting for the annual election of officers and members of the Committee on Committees of the San Diego Division of the Academic Senate is open. This is the first time the San Diego Division will conduct a ballot by electronic means. The voting system will authenticate your identity via the campus Single Sign-On system and is designed to maintain the confidentiality of the voting process by keeping track of who has voted, but not how each member votes. Once a vote is cast, neither the voter nor anyone else can change the vote.

To vote, please go to https://senate.ucsd.edu/Survey/2. Please refrain from using your browser's forward and backward buttons while completing the ballot. Use the "previous" and "next" buttons provided on the ballot form to navigate between screens.

Technical questions may be directed to Trevor Buchanan (tdbuchanan@ucsd.edu, x47584). If you are unable to access the ballot electronically, contact Norine Siglar (senatetemp@ucsd.edu, x43640) to arrange to pick up a paper copy of the ballot. Please be aware that if you submit both an electronic and a paper ballot, the electronic ballot will take precedence and the paper ballot will be destroyed before votes are counted.

The San Diego Division will continue voting until 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 5, which is the deadline for all votes to be cast. It is important in these changing times that all faculty members engage and participate in Senate governance. Thank you for voting!

Cordially,

Kit Pogliano, Vice Chair
Academic Senate, San Diego Division
