UC Faculty Survey Regarding Administrative Workload of Federally-Funded Investigators

Dear Colleagues:

Professor Michael Kleeman, Chair of the University Committee on Research Policy (UCORP), is requesting your assistance in gathering data that will help UC advocate for measures that may reduce the administrative burden faculty must accept in order to secure and account for federal research funds.

NSF is soliciting feedback on the administrative workload associated with research. Working in cooperation with UCOP, UCORP has developed a survey to collect data on research-related administrative burdens on faculty. The data will be used to prepare a UC response to the NSF. The survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NN3P8VZ) provides a convenient way for you to respond that will only require 5-10 minutes of your time. Your anonymous answers will be consolidated to present an overall UC response to NSF's questions.
