ALL SENATE FACULTY MEMBERS AT UC SAN DIEGO

Subject:    UC Innovative Learning Technology Initiative (ILTI) - Request for Proposals

The Innovative Learning Technology Initiative (ILTI) has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) to support online course development and teaching. Senate faculty interested in developing online or hybrid undergraduate courses using innovative learning technologies and subsequently offering those classes to students on multiple UC campuses are encouraged to apply.

The application and instructions on how to submit a proposal can be found at:
http://www.ucop.edu/academic-affairs/innovative-learning-technology-initiative/index.html

There are two due dates - September 1 and November 10.

In addition, ILTI FAQs have been created that address a number of questions and concerns that have arisen over the last few months of discussion. It is anticipated information will be added to this running list of FAQs as the initiative progresses and additional questions and comments are received.

As with all UC San Diego classes and separate from the ILTI proposal process, Academic Senate approval will be required prior to offering a new course or an existing course modified to be offered online. A summary of the entire process, including supplemental questions for local course review, is available at the following link:
