SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT – University Center’s Town Square Temporary Closure – Pedestrian Impacts

Project Description/Location:

Beginning on or about August 30, 2013 and through the Labor Day weekend, possibly impacting Tuesday September 3, 2013, repainting for the Town Square will occur.

Town Square is in the vicinity of the University Center located between the Chancellor’s Complex, Student Services and the Price Center.

Immediate Impacts:

Town Square will be closed for the above period to accomplish repainting of the existing hard surface area. This work necessitates sandblasting the existing surface, making minor repairs, adding a base coat and two top coats. Minor pedestrian impact is anticipated as pedestrians will be directed around the work area perimeter utilizing the existing sidewalks. Notification signs will be posted in the vicinity. No impact to vehicular traffic in the immediate area is anticipated.
