CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Gilman Parking Structure, AT&T Antenna Improvements

Project Description/Location:

Telecommunication upgrades for AT&T 4G mobile devices will occur at the Gilman Parking Structure starting October 12, 2013. This parking structure is located at the intersection of Gilman Drive and Russell Lane, west of the Sixth College Residence Halls and the Pepper Canyon Apartments. The upgrades are anticipated to take approximately three weeks, with completion expected in late October, and new LTE technology available by mid-November.

Immediate Street Impacts:

Construction equipment will be housed on the southwest corner of the sixth level of the parking structure (near the elevator) commencing on October 11 and remain throughout construction. During the weekend of October 12-13, there will be lane and walkway closures on the north side of Gilman Drive at Russell Lane to accommodate construction activities. Street delineators, signage, and traffic control will be present.
