The Impact of a Possible Government Shut-Down on Federally Funded Sponsored Research

As the federal government works to resolve its budget issues, there is a need to keep lines of communication open to the UC San Diego research community about the impact on our business. In the absence of a budget resolution, normal operational and administrative activities by the federal government may be at risk for the period of time until a new budget is conferred.

In the unlikely event a budget resolution is not confirmed, the Office of Research Affairs will seek to maximize continuity of support for faculty research activities. We have posted guidelines, based on the limited information available, at this web address:
