I am pleased to announce the search committee to identify candidates for the position of Vice Chancellor – Student Affairs. Frances Contreras, Associate Professor, Education Studies and I will co-chair the search. Other members of the Search Committee are:
AMY ADLER, Associate Professor, Visual Arts The Vice Chancellor – Student Affairs (VCSA) is the chief student affairs officer and provides executive leadership and accountability for overseeing the student experience at UC San Diego. The VCSA is responsible for undergraduate student recruitment, retention, and post-baccalaureate opportunities, and overall campus initiatives to improve the quality of student life and experiences at UC San Diego for undergraduate and graduate students. The VCSA is a member of the Chancellor’s Executive Cabinet and works closely with units within Academic Affairs, the Academic Senate and other Vice Chancellors to provide programs and services that support the vision and advance the mission of UC San Diego. Parker Executive Search will assist with the search and will conduct listening sessions across campus for input about the qualities of the campus’ next VCSA.
