Additional Tickets and Seating Time for Annual Holiday Pancake Breakfast

Due to the overwhelming request for tickets to this year’s complimentary UC San Diego Staff Association Annual Holiday Pancake Breakfast, a third seating has been added so 400 additional people may attend. The third seating will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, in the Price Center Ballroom from 10 – 11:30 a.m.

Tickets for the third seating will be made available at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, on a first-come, first-served basis through the Eventbrite website, which may be accessed at http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/pancakes. In order to ensure that as many staff as possible may attend the breakfast, employees are limited to one ticket per person. Tickets to the two original seatings at 6:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. are no longer available, as they’ve already been reserved by staff. All tickets are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for a different seating.

The annual arts and crafts fair, featuring homemade items crafted by our UC San Diego staff members, will again be held in conjunction with the breakfast. You may bring an unwrapped toy for our annual holiday toy drive.

In recognition of this annual event, I am approving one hour of administrative leave with pay to enable employees to attend the breakfast. Therefore, supervisors may grant employees one hour of administrative leave as long as the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.
