SUBJECT:    Lewd Behavior on MTS City Bus Near Campus

Please be on alert. On November 9, 2014, the UC San Diego Police Department received information of lewd behavior that occurred on an MTS city bus, near campus, at approximately 2:00 pm.

It was reported that a light skinned African American male suspect, approximately 5'10 in height, medium build, bald head, with sun spots on his face, wearing a turquoise blue t-shirt and gray shorts, sat next to the victim on the #30 bus, leaving the Scripps Institute of Oceanography heading toward the U.C. San Diego campus. The male suspect began to masturbate, while speaking to the victim, asking where she was going. The victim told the suspect she was going to the library on campus. The suspect, who appeared to be familiar with the area and campus, responded and told the victim it was only a few transit stops away. The victim exited the bus at Revelle College but it is unknown if the suspect exited the bus on campus or in the surrounding area.

If you have information about this incident, please contact UCSD Police at (858) 534-4357 or send an email to detective@ucsd.edu.
