ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT UCSD SUBJECT: TIMELY WARNING - Robbery Please be on alert. On March 27, 2014 at 01:29 a.m., Police Department received a report of a robbery that occurred approximately 10 minutes earlier at La Jolla Shores Drive and Poole Street, near UCSD's main campus. A male approached the victim as he was walking on La Jolla Shores Drive at Poole Street toward UCSD. The suspect punched the victim in the face and pushed him to the ground. The suspect grabbed the victim's backpack and fled by getting into a black SUV or minivan. The suspect was described as a possible Hispanic male, approximately 5 foot 6 inches tall, with a slender build, wearing an unknown/dark color hooded sweatshirt. The vehicle the subjects fled in was a black SUV or minivan, driven by a second unknown suspect, and was last seen heading east on La Jolla Shores Drive.
