OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR- April 28, 2014
The University of California, San Diego hosts Transfer Triton Day (formerly Transfer Admit Day) each year for newly admitted transfer students and their families. This year's event will be held on Saturday, May 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We expect approximately 4,000 transfer students and family members to attend. Similar to Triton Day, Transfer Triton Day brings together the entire campus community to showcase UC San Diego as a student-centered, research-focused, service-oriented public university. Hosted by UC San Diego's Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools, the event is an opportunity for newly admitted transfer students to discover campus life through academic department presentations, workshops, information fairs, and college sessions, as well as tours of campus and the Village at Torrey Pines. The goal of this important endeavor is to support our admissions efforts by encouraging the best and brightest students in California, the nation and the world to choose UC San Diego. The experience we create for them on Transfer Triton Day will greatly impact their choice. Broad campus participation from all academic areas, student support services, student organizations and administrative support units is essential to providing our guests a true Triton experience. If you'd like to host an open house at your lab, studio or gallery on Transfer Triton Day, or help in any other way to welcome our newly admitted transfer students and their families, please contact Amanda Kalal via email at amkalal@ucsd.edu or by phone at 858-246-0629. Thank you for all of your support. We look forward to the participation of the entire campus community on Transfer Triton Day 2014!
